At Concept Projects Group, we’re proud to share our recent work supporting the relocation and expansion of Boccard UK’s manufacturing operations to a new 10,000 sq m digital facility at Deeside Industrial Park.
As a Wirral-based project management company, we specialise in helping clients across the UK navigate complex construction and engineering challenges. This collaboration with Boccard shows exactly what we do best – delivering large-scale industrial fit-out and factory expansion projects on time, on budget, and with zero lost time accidents.
Supporting Boccard’s Growth
When the lease at Boccard’s previous site at Airbus Broughton came to an end, the company needed a new facility that could support both immediate needs and future expansion.
As a result, Boccard signed a 12-year lease at the Deeside site. The aim was to create a centre of manufacturing excellence for high-integrity piping systems, tanks, supports, and modular assemblies used in nuclear, energy, and food sector applications.
We were delighted to be appointed as their project management partner. From the outset, we worked closely with Boccard’s internal teams to understand their vision, technical needs, and timescales.
Our Role in the Project
To support this strategic relocation, we provided project management services from planning through to completion. We managed dilapidation works, infrastructure upgrades, and full office fit-outs.
Working with a cross-functional team, the operational layout was designed for process flow, future-proofing, and optimal manufacturing efficiency. By involving the Broughton workforce from the earliest stages, ownership of the new space was seamless throughout the transition.
The result? A fully operational, modern production facility delivered in just five months, two weeks ahead of schedule, within budget, and with zero lost time accidents.
The facility now includes a purpose-built segregation zone dedicated to stainless steel manufacturing, enhancing capability and ensuring quality. In addition, the office fit-outs incorporate the Boccard DNA, with mission statements and company values integrated throughout the space, including a reception timeline that celebrates the Boccard family legacy.

The Grand Opening
The site was officially opened on Wednesday 16th July at a high-profile launch event, attended by dignitaries, industry leaders, and government officials.
Notable speakers included; Bruno Boccard, (President, Boccard Group), Douglas McQueen (Managing Director, Boccard UK), Rebecca Evans (Cabinet Secretary for Economy, Energy and Planning, Welsh Government), and Stuart Crooks (CEO, Hinkley Point C).
As Stuart Crooks put it, the opening marked the achievement of “Manufacturing Excellence at Boccard UK.”
The event featured guided factory tours, insightful keynote speeches, and a networking lunch, offering guests the opportunity to see the completed site in action. It was a real privilege to attend, and even more rewarding to see the facility live and operational.

Supporting Economic Growth
The project was supported by the Welsh Government’s Economy Futures Fund, helping to safeguard 59 jobs and supporting the creation of over 150 new roles. That’s a major boost for the regional economy and a critical step in building the UK’s nuclear supply chain.
